Artist Statement
My inspiration is my passion for how things are made, cars, car parts, and the world around me. I enjoy the beauty of machinery and nature, the action of my pets, fast cars, and freedom.
Capturing the structure, performance, functionality, and beauty of the automotive world on film is important to me. Capturing the messy an
My long-term goal is to have a career in the automotive industry and ultimately build performance engines.
This course has taught me the importance of documenting my progress, processes, failures, and successes.

1995 Z-28 Camaro-FAVORITE!

001
This print was my 1st print for Photography 1.
This print captures the blood, sweat, and tears that have gone into restoring the car over the past year and a half.
The image represents the beauty behind underappreciated things.
Misplaced & Left Behind
002

This beat-up truck worked perfectly for a shot that captured a misplaced item.
Not only is it misplaced as it’s parked next to a nice home, but, it’s been left behind by its owner until they can do what is needed to get it running again.
Burned
003
The burned effect turned out really awesome in my opinion.
If you take the time to burn in the right places, you can end up with a really cool shot and a possible display worthy piece of art.

Under The Hood
This photo is one of my ultimate favorites because it shows how things in disrepair have the ability to be repaired and rebuilt with the right individual and tools.
It also shows the complexity of what is underneath the hood of a car and the different components that work together as one when functioning properly.
Stills
005-006-007

Camaro
This still is clear and in good focus. It captures the sleek lines, lighting effects, and the ugliness of a dirty car.

Side Profile
This still was shot with cloud cover. It’s one of my favorites because it proves you don’t always need good lighting to capture a quality photo.

Wild Horses
This still photo is also one of my favorites because it’s a reminder of what not to do. I got too much light in the right hand corner which doesn’t outline the background as much as it should.
Action

Black Hole Sun
This photo was exposed to light, however, the result was a cool effect that included a sunspot that resembles a solar eclipse while also capturing the skater in action.
Lighting
009

Lighting
The lighting in this still portrait of a garbage receptacle shows how far the element of light can enhance an image.

Another Brick in the Wall
These photos highlight the structural makeup of the BVW school building. Brick is known for being non-combustible making them ideal for buildings in Kansas where wildfires can occur.
Brick has a high level of durability and is considered clean natural material that doesn’t impact the environment.
